It is very important to collect the information before determining the school. Because my uncle lives in Milpitas, I decided to live with him in order to save the cost of living. First of all, I searched for the school around my uncle's home on the internet. After finding some schools, I began to surf information about content of courses and teachers qualified in those schools. In addition, I caught the suggestions from some friends. My friend recommended me SAL. , I thought that this school could help me to study English well after reading the introduction. Finally, I chose to study in SAL. I will not recommend my friend to follow my steps. I considered which schools are near my uncle's house, before I chose the school. However, this is a good way to find and collect information on the internet.
Before I decided to study at SAL, I had searched on the Internet about imformation this school, about English programs. I considerd is it near my uncle's house ? Is it good? How much I have to pay for Semesters? Because as I knew already about this school, I will have to pay a lot of money for studying. Then I have enough ability to pay for fee, so I decided to study English at SAL. I will recommend to my friends about these steps or more. I think before we decide to study in some schools, we have to know about those schools such as fees, locations and their programs, they are good or not...
There are many English language schools in the world. It is difficult to choose one school. There are four steps for choosing English language school, such as to be obvious your goal, research on the Internet, ask your friends and to compare schools.
First of all, to be clear purpose of your study. In my case, I want to get a job in the US, then I should study English seriously. Some schools have a lot of students who are from my country. It might be not good environment for me. I heard some another schools have lazy students. It's also not good. And, I am interested in the Internet industry. Bay area is well-known that there are many startups of the Internet industry. After several conditions are known, I researched on the Internet based on these conditions. You should search in English because it might be biased information in your first language. I picked up some school information, and input that information to my database such as location, cost, course term etc. I sent several emails to the schools to get more detail information. Next, I asked some friends about their experiences. They taught me, an ESL course at university is better because university has a campus and most students are studying seriously. Finally, I compared the schools with my database and friends advice. SAL is fulfilling my conditionals.
In short, there are four steps I took in deciding to the English language school. First, think about what you want to do after school. Second, use search engine efficiently. Third, ask your friends. They have real information. Fourth, compare your information logically. I would recommend to a friend to follow these steps. It's a general path and you can save cost if you don't use an agent for language schools.
There are too many options of ESL in the English speaking countries, such as America, Canada, England and Australia. Therefore, there are four steps of making a decision. First, search the evaluation of the ESL from internet. Thus we won’t waste money on the negative evaluation one. Second, it is the best choice if you live close to your friend or relatives. As a result, you can adjust to the environment easily and quickly. Finally, chose the country which has the similar climate with your country. I can’t imagine that I live in a snowy area because I can’t take the cold. In short, if you follow these steps, you will make a correct decision because I figure out these steps according to my experience.
To decide school is really hard. Actually, I had changed school a few times because my English level changed, so my school also changed. Thus, I had three steps. First, I was going the Eurocentres which is English school in Menlo Park. When I came to here, I totally could not speak English, so the school level was good for me because the school has a low level. When my English skill was getting improve I felt it is not good to stay here because teachers did not give us much homework and almost all people were planning to stay in the U.S.A just short time, so their and my aim were different. Also, there are many Japanese at there. Thus, it was not good environment for me to improve my English skill. Next, I changed school to USF which is in San Francisco. The school’s class was similar to SAL. Teachers give us a lot of homework and around me people were studying hard to get a good score of TOEFL to go to a college or university. It was good environment. I think my English skill improved at there. Third, I changed to SAL because I heard SAL students can live on campus, and the school has a connection with Foothill or De Anza colleges. It was really good points for me. Also, I heard class programs are good, so I decided to go SAL. In conclusion, I do not recommend follow my steps because I wasted time when I transfer to other schools. I recommend to study in SAL from first step and then you do not have to waste your time.
Actually, my steps I took in decidng to study at SAL are very simple. My friend already live in San Jose, and my friend suggested me to study at San Jose. First, my friend gave a English school list. Also, he recommended me SAL because his brother was SAL student. In addition, he dont know good ESL school well. Next, I serched the English schools, which my friend gave me, on internet. Then, I compared those school. After comparing, I choose SAL because I like career of SAL, which has long history. Moreover, I like San Jose's weather. Finally, I decide to study at SAL. In short, I think my steps I took in deciding to study at SAL is not bad because life of the other countries is not easy. Sometimes to adapt different culture is too difficult. However, if your friends or cousins live in the other countries you want to study English, maybe my steps is better than general steps which people find English school from agency.

SAL has good facilitie for students and good teacher. Next, I found some information on the internet about SAL such as location, public transportation. Because, I don't a car, I want to access place easily. Finally, I compared school fee. If school fee is too expensive, I couldn't choice the school.
In conclusion, I dicided to SAL bacause of many people recommended SAL, so I could trust the facilitie and quality of education. In addition, SAL located downtown in San Jose, so I can get easily by bus for free. Moreover, school fee also not too expensive compare than other school. These reasons are I dicided to SAL.
Before i came to USA, diciding a school to study English is very hard for me.Actually, i dont know how is the studying envirnoment in the US? For that reason, i decided to go to Study Abroad Service and they adviced me to choose SAL. The first step, i searched on the Internet about SJSU such as location, school fee, student's evaluation. Secondly, i compared them with other school and i felt my family has enough ability to pay for my school fee. Before I came here, the most hardest thing was changing my career. However, after I decided what I will do in my life, everything became easy to do. First step was that I decided to study MA in TESOL in San Jose State University. Because I want to teach Korean to foreigner, I need to study TESOL. And also, my cousin already lives in Milpitas, from this, it was also easy to decide. Second step was that where can I get TOEFL score. If I get a enough score to go to MA in TESOL in Korea, it might be hard to understand English at grad school, therefore I choose to study English first at SAL. Finally, I applied SAL and I had a visa interview. And now, I'm here. I think my processing to move here is a little bit different from others. Therefore, I can't recommend my steps, but I can recommend SAL to other people who want to learn English.
I decided to study English in SAL just for four simple steps. First, I just research some schools which have the TOEFL programs in the southern Bay area, because I will go on study for my bachelor degree in America, IBT is a very important requirement for me to apply a good university. Second, I would research some schools which have a contract with De Anza Community College, become De Anza Community College is one of the best colleges in the southern Bay area, and also it is much closed to my sister’s apartment. It is likely for me to apply De Anza Community College after language training. Finally, also most importantly, my sister also study in SJSU, so that is very convenient for my sister to pick up me everyday. While, I didn’t suggest my friends follow my steps to choose a school. Because my steps just according to my personal requirements. It doesn’t fit for others. Everyone have theirselves’ commends .
If you want to improve your English skills studying in another country, it is important to select a language school that fits your conditions. In my case, I depended on a lot of information from other people who had experiences studying abroad, searching the internet, and also consulting with an agency who help people study abroad. Finally, I decided to study at SAL, and here are the steps I took to study English at SAL. First, I had to decide which Language school to attend considering my conditions. After talking with my parents I decided on the United States because my parents told me they had friends there that I could stay with while I study there. Then, I had to research the schools in the United States through the internet and by talking to people who had experiences studying abroad. Then I had to decide which school I could attend to that was close to the home I was going to stay at. I had to figure out if taking the bus was possible because I knew I would not have a car. I then decided on SAL because it met all these requirements for my conditions. So in conclusion, I am still a student in SAL, and I have no regrets deciding on attending this school. The teachers are great and you learn a lot, and since it’s in Downtown San Jose there are many things to do after school. So I would recommend SAL to future students who may consider attending here.

I couldn't just finish English-learning school's homeworks and need to do self-learning hard. Then I wanted to save money as possible as I could. So I found some schools near my sister's home and asked her suggestions. She suggested me to go to SAL because I can go by public transport system. After Discussing with my parents, I choosed SAL. Dissimilar targets need different ways to complete. I'll also advise my friends ot think about the reason why they want to learn English and then take next step.
