week 9
This week we are talking about nature versus nurture. Tell us about a characteristic that you inherited from one of your parents that you like. This could be a physical feature or personality trait. For me, my father was always very honest. He didn't say a lot, but whatever he did say could be trusted. I think that I'm like that too. Physically, I look a lot like my mother. Sometimes when I catch a quick glimpse in the mirror of myself, I think it's my mom! People have always told my mother that she looks young for her age, so I like that I look like her.

My character is influenced by my father. My father has sense of humor. When he meets difficulty or unhappiness, he can solve it easily. In addition, he often uses his sense of humor, so it makes people's mood are happy. Everybody likes talking with him. I am like his characteristic. Physically, I look like my mother. When I was young, everybody said that I looked like my mom's childhood. I am very glad to hear people said that, because my mother is more beautiful than my father obviously.

ReplyDeleteFor me, my father is strict about to do something. For example, he always wakes up early to go to his work. I remember that even I wake up at 6 am, he already left home, and I have never seen that he slept late. I also wake up by myself and I have never gone to school late. I think that this is like my father. Physically, I look like my mother too. When I was child, a few people said I look like my mother but recently many people said that. I am resembling her more and more as the years go by.
ReplyDeleteMy personality is influenced by my mother. She is cleanly person. She told me: if you use something, you must put it back into its place. And she is dexterous. There are a lot of crafts which she made in our house. We have great breakfast and dinner everyday. She didn't teach me how to cook very much. But I remember her cooking, and I like to cook.
ReplyDeleteWhen I drink coffee don't add sugar nor milk usually. Because my father said "Black coffee is coffee." I like skiing, hill climbing and Japanese chess. These are same as my father does. I am familiar with these things since I was a kid.
There are a lot of different things between my parents and I. But it's true, I am strongly influenced by them.
In Chinese culture, if a daughter looks like her father, they believe she will have a good future. Fortunately, my sister and I’s appearance look like my father's so much. Especially, my sister's face looks like my father, and my eyes and nose look like my father. In addition, i have a typical character was inherited from my father—— always smile. It means no matter what happened always face it with smile. We believe smile can infect everyone around you, which can make people happy. Especially, my eyes will close to be a line when smiling which just like my father. Moreover, i have a common interest on food with my father. Most importantly, my father is my favorite person in the world. My biggest goal is to become a person to make my father proud.
ReplyDeleteMy father handles events with a sensible approach. He always taught us do not just trust what you only saw. He trained us to pay more attention on the background of what happened and reasons of people said, then found the truth behind events.
ReplyDeleteMy mother assigns importance to details. No matter how wonderful of people said or paper reported, she is in an attitude of serious to everything.
Both my parents ask me to do everything on my own as possiable as I can. Researching for help is the last way of solving problems. All of these are deeply infuenced me.
Many friends of my parents's say I look at my father. But I was thin in my high school period, some people said my smile looked like my mother.
While I was spending my school days, my father was very busy, so I rarely spent time with him. I think my personality is influenced by my mother. My mother is very strong and stric person. I was scared her until middle school. She always said " be honest, intelligence." Physically, I don't know who I look like. Some people told me you look like father, and the others said you look like your mom. In addition, I think I'm not similar in anyone. However, my personality look like my mother.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is really a strong and independent woman. She is always my idol. She always achieves what she wants and never give up her goals. In future, I want to be a woman as my mom. I think I'm like my mom those characters.
ReplyDeleteI resemble my dad about face. Specially about eyes. When I and him go together, people often say I look like my dad.
